The Mans Cave App

The Mans Cave

The Mans Cave was a concept originated long before my time. The men in my family have always had their place of solitude where men could be men and there was no questioning. I now live the city life which means the man cave has been greatly reduced in size. That brought me to create an internet based man cave where all men can join in. Whether geek, gamer, jock, fitness, brewer, BBQ-er, or just looking for a place to read about manly news, you will find a home in the Man Cave

What Apple Covered up When They Announced the iPad 2

Here at The Man Cave we have to hand it to Steve Jobs, he does a great job hyping the crowd and is magician like with his "slight of hand" tricks to keep you listening to what he is saying, and not paying attention to what he is NOT saying.  There were a few key specs that were never mentioned which lead us to believe this iPad 2 may not be what its hype is....

First, where is the cloud sync for music?  Sure the iPad 2 can get apps like Audiogalaxy or Air Server, but these only let you stream music, not back-up and store it on the iPad itself.  Lets face it, the computing age is going to the cloud sync, but Apple is still pushing that clunky hook-up to iTunes deal.

Second, Jobs never mentioned the RAM.  This leads us to believe that it will tout the same specs as the original iPad, which is only 256 megabytes.  This is a very embarrassing feature when you consider that the Motorola Xoom and HP Touchpad both have 1 gigabyte of RAM (1 gigabyte = 1024 megabytes...4 times the amount of the iPad) While we are on a memory subject why is the iPad 2 maxing out at 64 gigabytes? One would expect that

Third, did anyone even notice that the iPad 2 will be equipped with a screen that is of lesser quality than the iPhone 2???? Thats really poor, your friends with iPhones have bragging rights over your new iPad 2?  While talking about resolution and screens, Jobs told us how many frames per seconds (FPS) the cameras could handle, but never mentioned how many megapixels they would have (information he NEVER left out when it came to iPhone models)

So what is your take on this new iPad 2? Still plan on buying one, or are you now leaning towards the Android tablets?
